Just want to be clear here, I do not support Pujara being dropped at all. But if he is, I am going to bump the "Best Indian Bat" thread and **** up everyone who voted Pujara. Hard.
FTR, I hate myself for voting for Kohli there....wouldn't do so if I'd seen enough of Rahane

Fox Sports reporting Dhawan dropped after Kohli and him had to be separated in Melbourne.

Da **** is going on.

Can't say Kohli isn't making **** interesting. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwww.

Pujara just can't be right though, that's madness ffs.
While I support the decision to drop Dhawan for cricketing reason, this is just insane.

FFS Kohli, get over Brisbane 2nd innings! You weren't good enough to make more than 1 run there, cop it ****.

Whatever it takes!!!
Why are we assuming the fox sports **** is true.. That entire report had no source and just looks like the **** tabloids make up...

Kohli seems too funky with his selections. In Adelaide, selecting Aaron and Karn together seemed non-sensical to me. Dropping Pujara now will be worse. Pujara has looked good in this tour, and is probably due a big score in Sydney. Both Pujara and Rohit should play in Sydney. If Rahul has to play, he can come in for Dhawan.
He may have looked good now and then, but ultimately he has not got a big score in three consecutive tours in what 10 tests? Why should he be untouchable?

My opinion maybe a bit premature(or maybe not) like Kohli's decisions at this moment but I back him if he is dropping both Dhawan and Pujara. We've lost the series and with one test to go he does have the liberty to try out what he wants for the long run.

Dropping Dhawan is justified for cricketing reasons (ignoring the rift) and Pujara's technique for a no.3 batsmen is still iffy and needs sorting out.

That's why he needs to play.

A dead rubber gives players who're out of form a chance to sort out their game and get some confidence. I back Rohit being brought back, but why on earth you'd drop Pujara baffles me.

It's not like he's been completely rubbish, Kohli-in-England or Marsh-last-series style. He's actually made a reasonable number of runs given the fact he's looked absolutely terrible. That's always a good sign in a player, tbh.

On the flip side, we might unleash a new no.3 who could be better than Pujara. Never know until we try.

Sorting out ones game could also be done in domestic cricket. He's had 10 average tests now so I wouldn't mind trying someone else.

A dead rubber is a good time for players out of form to find some. But it seems more people think it's the perfect time to get funky with selections.

I think it's good to give Rohit a shot at number 3. We can finally see what he is capable of doing when given that responsibility Pujara can afford to sit out one match.Has looked suspect too.

Couldn't care less about Dhawan being dropped. He will come back roaring in the home tests anyway.

Because we are building a new team after our ATG batsmen are gone. We must be more patient with batsmen like Pujara and Rohit who have bossed it in FC.

...Pujara's technique for a no.3 batsmen is still iffy and needs sorting out.
Nobody is stopping Kohli to try Pujara at no. 5

So, wait, who is at number 6 then? Not Raina surely? Maybe Kohli is going for two spinners. Not bad. We need to get 20 wickets to win, something that is clearly not in hand as of now.

Cricinfo does not seem to think there will be too many changes to the composition of the side, excepting for Raina and Saha coming in for Dhoni and Dhawan/Rahul... This Fox Sports **** is exactly that.. ****.. :)

I mean it'd be horrible if Pujara is dropped but the positive to come out of this is Rahane promoted to 3 where he belongs long term.

It would still be awful though, Kohli should remember England and the fact that good players like himself and Pujara are supposed to be persisted with.
