couple of years? he's only been gun for about a year, it was last year around this time that he blew England away, before that he was ordinary.
Think it's fair to say that he was bowling that well for 18 months at least, just not always for Australia.

The ODI series' in England and India he was bowling super quick and getting great shape.

Yeah but those ODI series were what in September/October? That's still not 18 months, I say this because I saw Johnson bowl in India early 2013 and he was ordinary.

In fairness to Johnson, we'd all be saying some very different things about Johnson's bowling this series had 6 catches not been dropped off his bowling.

Dhoni has yet another opportunity batting wise to take control of the test. Need a serious innings from him when he comes in to really take home the advantage.

in this series i mean, and lots of them off the edge. do think that gully is very very fine
Kohli and Rahane especially are very airy-fairy outside off and have a tendency to throw their hands at the ball a lot at balls slightly wide. It's not just an early in the innings thing either. Theyre like that even after they're set.

State Regular
1566 runs - 32 wickets at Adelaide
1267 - 36 at brisbane
932 - 13 so far at Melbourne

Pretty much aside from Lyon (who is still averaging 30 odd)
Hazelwood at Brisbane and one spell from Johnson at Brisbane, every bowler has been thrashed

Vijay hit so many in the air in that area in Brisbane

It's just one of those things that will be exploited in England and NZ but not Aus so much.

Haddin and plenty of other Aussie batsmen being prime examples.
