couple of years? he's only been gun for about a year, it was last year around this time that he blew England away, before that he was ordinary.

Yup, reportedly even up close the players don't feel he's bowled as quickly this year; and it's not going to be helped by being used in longer spells as he has been this Test.

But he's still bowled in the main pretty well, he's just currently being man-handled.

I mean it was a major anomaly. Out of nowhere he started producing some of the most consistently destructive bowling ever seen for a period of what 8 or so test matches. he was never gonna repeat the consistent part of it
