Yeah. I will do something. I just need to feel aggrieved for a little while longer.

On the plus side, Samsung were great to deal with on the phone.
If you were a master negotiator you would get Samsung to solve the problem for you - but you would need to spin some magic over the phone and probably just easier to rent one. But yes I chuckled at your response please do feel aggrieved.

Samsung LED, bought in January this year. Samsung have agreed to replace it BUT need to check that it is the TV that developed a fault first. And they can't get a guy out to do that until 29 December. No Boxing Day cricket watching for me. Poo.
Complain on their Facebook detailing exactly what happened. Or alternatively take it to the store. Both can replace it sooner. Just need to get past the frontline.

Wait, how did it catch fire? Like seriously, what?

Edit: tone of my comment seems negative; it's not. Just genuinely intrigued!

I was watching the cricket and noticed a black circle in the bottom left of the picture. I figured it was an advertising logo and ignored it. Then it got bigger and I smelt smoke. Then I saw that the glass and plastic in that part of the telly was melting and that I could see (teensy) glimpses of flame where the glass had cracked open. Then I pulled the plug from the wall. James Bradshaw was commentating so the sudden silence was something of a relief.

Fire from TV is super serious, make a bit more of a fuss.

Phil Tunnicliffe 32(14) for wellington A. Good Taita lad who Heef may know more about,
Yeah, Taita lad. Bit surprised to see him have the call-up, but I understand he smashed a good score in quick time against Collegians a fortnight ago which may have boosted his stocks (70-odd off 50 balls, 8 sixes). Can certainly hit a ball.

Also smashed Norths for 50 off 25 balls after taking 4-28 against them a couple of weeks before that. Bats 3, bowls first change for Taita.

Only draw back is that I think he's in his late 20s, so not exactly ""The Future"".

At least you know him through cricketing circles. His name came to my attention because my mum had a cup of tea with his aunt last week and told me some tales about him afterwards

Can't say I wasn't surprised at how yesterday panned out. Southee and Boult were always going to be in the wickets. Managed to head down and watch most of the day, the ND under 15's team would've given us a bigger challenge. Wellington were pathetic, especially with the ball. Flynn won't ever score an easier 100 than that.

That's a pretty timely 5fer for Wagner. Should make his place safe in the first test.

Plenty of time with a better attack than last week, but [ND] need to declare overnight or early tomorrow.

Current forecast:
Sat - Cloudy, afternoon showers, rain from evening
Sun - Rain, some heavy, to showers afternoon.
Think I over-estimated the aptitute of the Wgtn batting ...

Wgtn lowest FC score against ND is currently be 78 (2000-01 season, Tuffey 16-8-12-7).

If that had happened while you were taking a dump it couldve burned the house down and killed you.

Serious issue man. Id be pissed.

Another glorious triumph for the high backlift theory today. What visionary coaching.
