I don't think anyone doesn't actually rate him, the usual argument is that he isn't better than Southee. Which is an argument I think you'll find none of us would like to start today...
I think the argument is that he's awesome but not on the field enough. That's certainly how I feel. Have said several times he's wonderfull talented and clever but we hardly get to see it.

I think the problem is that he plays so few games. Debut was 5 years ago and he hasn't yet played his 30th test. No doubt he is talented and easily the best bowler WI have had since Walsh and Ambrose but he needs to play more to stay in peoples minds.

Guess who started to post then answered the phone and was beaten to it.

IIRC Cribb didn't rate him in his Top 12 quicks which he considered a class above the rest.

Granted that was a year ago, but still....

Fairly long tail isnt it?
It is mostly that they havent played in a while and QdK and van zyl have not established themselves yet. The tail could slap 200 together if they had to but this os the first test in a series where we often struggle most... im not so confident YET

QdK and van Zyl are not part of the tail. Philander/Steyn/Abbott are serviceable at 8/9/10. It's only Morkel who doesn't know how to hold a bat.

Having said that, we'll probably lose the last 5 wickets for 12.

If Morkel can't hold a bat, wonder how we should refer tailenders like Walsh and Chris Martin.

Qdk and van zyl have not proven anything yet, at this stage id rely more on philander/steyn to stick it out with one of the two batsmen in the middle... Because they have actually done it before.

Our middle order has a bit of a questionmark without duminy there.

Roach still bowling pretty well it seems
Roach's ankle appears buggered.

South Africa's record fourth wicket partnership is 249.
The all-time record is 437.

These statistics are under threat with these two in this mood and a threadbare attack.
