Well what can i say? it's days like this when i wonder why i bother with cricket....when you're a wi fan it's just a painful experience. We had them on the ropes at 57/3 and Roach, once again our shining light, beats Alma all ends up and hits the stumps and somehow the bloody bails stayed on. Right there that was the turning point.

Apparently Alma and AB have said the pitch is "flat", well it better be otherwise SA will only be batting once.

I know we have to be realistic and the rankings suggest a gulf between the two sides but watching the absolute crap Taylor and Benn were bowling was just heartbreaking.

Tomorrow is another day and if we manage to keep them to 450 we'll have done very well. I say Holder comes in for Taylor next game, his height and bounce would at least offer something different. And i'd consider Cottrell's position too tbh...at least Gabriel has performed at test level.

Bringing only one spinner was just stupid and it looks like Benn will be given the whole series to finish off his career for good.

I think the argument is that he's awesome but not on the field enough. That's certainly how I feel. Have said several times he's wonderfull talented and clever but we hardly get to see it.

And he's injured yet again. Frustrating being a Roach fan.

Absolutely brutal for West Indies if it's a serious injury. He's so far ahead of the other bowlers it's a bit of a joke.

Taylor and Benn were just garbage...Cotts did ok in spells but he needs to learn how to bowl the ball away from the right-handers instead of always swinging into them...Roach in his early spell was simply world class and how Amla survived that ball is anyones guess...i believe that would have been massive for us at that time which was straight after lunch.

just seen some highlights. what the **** happened to taylor? last time out i saw him against new zealand he was bowling like a dream. today he wouldn't have got in my local sides seconds. some of the worst garbage i've seen served up at test level by a non minnow.

I've seen few spells worse than Taylor's yesterday. If he'd managed to even be slightly mediocre, SA would've been in trouble in the first session. Roach just got stuck without support unfortunately.
