Macewell must have a Bradman-esque average against ND these days. I just need Craig to be a Darren Sammy to Macewell's Bravo here.

Do we have an insider into the Cantab set up...why is Hira opening in a serious match...does he actually want to make a go of opening...

You can't expect a young bloke to bowl his team to victory on day 4 at Uni Oval. You just have to wait until the oppo eventually hoists itself by its own petards. Or retards.

didn't know you were an Otago man Kippax...I was rooting for ND as I don't like to see 9th or 10th wicket partnerships score runs against tired attacks, makes a farce out of the plunket shield.

Let's face it, Mark Craig was never far away from a FC hundred if his batting at Test level was anything to go by.

Yeah it's huge. Might just be the circles I move in but agriscience, agricommerce, agribusiness, agriwindowpanes etc are what every second person seems to be doing.

Sending Ronnie Hira to rural Canterbury schools, I'd say. He can talk about how he used to a stylish and sophisticated Aucklander, until he realised how much the Brodies, Workers, Tastles and Guptills were repeatedly failing everyday New Zealanders. It was Agribusiness who put them all in a box marked "fake and gay", and he's glad he managed to switch sides before it was too late.

Since we've only finished the second round this season I dug the charts from last year to remind myself who has a shot at stringing seasons together and who needs a big one.

Cricket Records | Records | Plunket Shield, 2013/14 | Most runs | ESPN Cricinfo
Cricket Records | Records | Plunket Shield, 2013/14 | Most wickets | ESPN Cricinfo

Michael Bracewell now averages 40 in FC after his latest ton ftr. 2000+ runs, 6 tons and an average of 40.37 from 34 games and he's only 23. Hurricane might be tasting it yet.

Might post up the openers and middle order batsmen who could push for a test spot too.

Actually nah cbf.
