***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2014/15

Flem274*

123/5
Wagner 5/100 incoming

CD getting McConed. Need Young to turn this 40 into a big score.

Nice to see Gillespie isn't tolerating Auckland.

Sodhi straight into the wickets too then. Have to ask though, why in the hell has Flynn bowled Kuggs as much as he has.

Seven wickets between Sodhi and Santner in 18 overs. As I said earlier beg the question as to why Flynn stuck with Kuggs and Aldridge for so long to begin the innings.

The day 1 footage didn't suggest spinners would take 7/33 on day 2. It's a sluggish green seamer ftr.

Joe Carter is having a tough start to the season, looked really good last year. His dismissals so far this year have been so, so soft. Admittedly only seen his 3 Knocks from the Plunket Shield on the video scorecards. But another poor one yesterday on the vault. So having a month off at a lower level while the Super Slash was on hasn't helped .....

Maybe he's out of form and reaching/forcing the ball as he is getting out in weird ways.

Virtually impossible for ND to set a safe target if it's going to be Kuggs and Sodhi who'll be bowling on day 4 at Uni Oval. Clever strategy from the Volts.
Is 500 safe enough? ;-)

Forecast is good for day 3 and 4.

Edit, congrats Joe Carter on maiden FC century. Would be a good weekend if Santner picked up his maiden 5 wicket haul tomorrow.

Ha! After posting about his form and poor dismissals, Carter bags a ton.

Congratulations on debut FC ton, good stuff.

Brad Cachopa has conceded 24 byes so far in a low scoring game. Obviously can't be sure that they're all due to the keeping quality, but that's very poor. Mind you, Blundell also conceded 9.

Yeah the pitch is definitely tired enough for Fulton to lurch onto the front foot and punish you. Hagley had speed in it last season, it just seems like rain hindered the wicket preparation at the venues in this round. Swing for Wheeler and Dougeh again, but shorter balls were sitting up very tamely.

Blackcaps.co.nz scorecards not working for me. Has anyone got the current score of the Wellington vs. Auckland game? I was going to head down after lunch, but Wellington were doing so poorly, I'm not sure it's worth it...

Wgtn all out 133 (Bates 4-47 Carl Cachopa 3-20), Auck just started chase of 128 to win. Cachopa's match figures 12-25-5, seems like the kind of pitch Wgtn needed Grant Elliott.

Thank you. I would like your post, but there's not much to like from a Wellington fan point of view. It's lunch now, so I think I'll pop along and see the inevitable conclusion to this debacle.
