Full respect to Clarke here, seriously. Looks to be in real pain. But if he hadn't come out we would've been bundled out pretty cheaply. As it is, we're getting to the point of being pretty much impregnable.

Credit to Clarke but I would have expected the Aussie tail to wag anyway.

Footage of smith raising his bat to Hughes on the 408 on the ground with the VB tune in the background seemed kinda odd.

Spinners yeah. Pace bowling? Not at all. Pankaj Singh's career prospects were already shattered by England.
Yadav exists, and I think Bhuvi might be fit for the next Test too. Yadav is their best fast bowler when he's properly fit IMO and Bhuvi was their best bowler in their last Test series (although probably not being tremendously suited to Australian conditions). You could make a good case to suggest that three of their best four bowlers aren't playing here, so there could definitely be an improvement.

BARNES OUT
I used to hate Clarke and always thought he was hugely overrated but he has grown into a fantastic cricketer, especially since becoming captain. Kudos to him, as someone with a similarly chronic bad back I can't fathom how he's doing it. One of the best innings I've seen for a while, at least in terms of mental fortitude, the attack is very questionable.

I love cousin Steve. You feel like he'll grow into himself in a similar way Clarke has when he inevitably becomes captain. His century celebration brought a tear to the eye.

Umesh is good tbf. And I still believe in Pankaj.

Bhuvi's injury has hurt us so much.:( A fit Bhuvneshwar wouldn't leak runs at 4-5 rpo like Aaron and Shami have. Ishant just needed some decent support at the other end yesterday in the first session.

Both Yadav and Bhuvi are better than Aaron but as you've said Bhuvi is going to get taken apart in Australia.
