Yadav hasn't played a test for over two years. Samir Patel and Rob Quiney have played more recently.

He's just a myth now IMO.

Both Yadav and Bhuvi are better than Aaron but as you've said Bhuvi is going to get taken apart in Australia.
Not tremendously suited =/= will get taken apart.

He probably will get taken apart because at the end of the day he's an Indian bowler, but he wouldn't have bowled the sort of tripe Shami has bowled. With the new ball, atleast he generally does a job no matter what the conditions.

Pretty sure Bhuvi has never been as expensive as Aaron here in any type of cricket ever, even when Gayle was scoring 175 in 15 overs.

Damage control at it's finest.

Has it really been that long since India were No1 in tests.
No damage control. I have been grumpy cat with respect to this Indian set up for longer than I can remember. The BCCI's clout and the Indian cricket follower's fanaticism only takes attention away from the fact that we have never been more than painfully mediocre abroad, even during our so-called "golden years". It's not going to improve either so people in England and Australia will be regularly served with 4 and 5 Tests of terrible cricket.

Cue someone's reply of "aah but when they come visiting...".

India are just awful at Tests.

I don't get how a cricket mad nation of 800 million people can be so ****. How hard is it to produce 3 decent fast bowlers FFS. England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan are all smaller than us and still have better attacks, and cricket isn't even the main sport in four of those countries!

Or we could just save everyone's time. I'm glad to see the justified pessimism the Indian posters.
Nah the track looks decent. Kohli, Rahane and Pujara are quality. I can understand pessimism to the point of absolute hopelessness when it comes to our bowling attack but our batting is okay and I expect them to perform.

It's 2014, not 1994

I'll quote this post again when we're 66-6

1.2 billion; even worse.

Would have been better off with an attack of Aaron/Yadav/Ishant/Jadeja/Ashwin tbh. It's not like Rohit is gonna score any runs anyways.
