I wasn't really aware that bitterness post was aimed at me, although if it was then I would quite like to know how finding that Moyes press conference ridiculous qualifies as bitter tbh.
Oh, that's why you brought his team's result into it. I apologise for misunderstanding.

(^^^ meant three posts up, ftr. Got a bit confusing cos people were posting in between.)

Why are people still pretending the FA Cup still matters, even ****ing Arsenal won it last year.

Now that's bitterness.

No doubt the all prem ties will be chosen for tv

When clearly Tranmere V Swansea is what the people demand

Depressing though, last time we played Swansea in the cup they were underdogs :(

(watch us lose the replay now)

Loads of Manchester Utd fans in town tonight. One of them even came up to me and said very loudly "Eric Cantona is gonna **** you up", which didn't sound especially pleasant, I must confess.

Edit: He said this in finest Home Counties accent, of course.

Sick of jammy United. **** off.
Yes, some of their luck on the playing field has been outrageous, but kind of made up by the ****ty injury list in the same positions. Saints should really go on and win this now been dominant, probably won't.

But we're picking strikers purely for their finishing ability. When we have Rooney+RVP and our opponents have Shane Long or Danny Welbeck, a lot of the games we win will be with more goals from fewer chances.

Fellaini and his elbows; he really should be sent off for once to send a message. ****.

United do a Villa and score 2 goals with 3 shots (2 on target). Louis bringing that arse to the fore.

To be fair, it takes real skill to create absolutely nothing from open play and score twice.
Turns out all we need is RVP and De Gea to play well. Everyone else was ****e.

Delighted with that though. Really tough fixture, Southampton away. We'll take a scrappy win from there all day long.

Their lowest shot total ever (ever being since Opta records began 11 years ago). I think they need to bin the back three, it's not worked any time I've watched them this season, whereas they actually looked decent with the back four against Chelsea. They're just not good enough at building from the back to justify it and are getting pressed so easily.

Moving Carrick into the middle didn't make much difference last night, and we missed him badly in midfield. Fellaini was shocking in that deeper role. Mata and Herrerra useless too.

I don't think anyone believes we can keep playing like that and still make the top four, but that's OK because we probably won't. Our injury list must surely improve at some stage. Even Arsenal at the peak of their physical breakdown always got at least half a season with most of the team fit.

We only play 3 at the back away from home now, and we've been dire in away games this season regardless of what system we've played. So that might be what you're seeing.

I think I agree with you, but I'm not sure. Thing is, we're embarrassingly vulnerable to pressing regardless of formation. At least with 3 at the back we have more men behind the ball when we constantly lose the ball in our own half. We tried the diamond at Leicester and it was just far too open.

I can see where he's coming from anyway. But I definitely think it's a mistake to have Carrick as one of the three CBs. He's too important to our midfield.

We have looked better since Carrick came back from injury. Wish we would just leave him in the midfield where he makes a difference for us.
