It would be hilarious if McCullum's high score record was broken by Williamson in this match, considering Crowe held it for over 20 years.Should be looking at 700 here if possible. Time not an issue and scoreboard pressure in the 2nd innings could be the way to force the win.
If he goes ahead and bowls the no-ball don't you think more time will be wasted?Slows down the game, wastes time etc. Not 100% on the laws, but don't batsmen and bowlers need a decent reason to pull out from a shot/ball. Also could you imagine if bowlers pulled out every time they didn't land perfectly. As a one off i don't mind it, but if Talha was to do it again, i would want the umpires to at least give a warning.
With a declaration perhaps not all that far away Dan could well be playing his last test innings here, maybe they wanted to give him a chance to make something of it?Wait it just registered that dan is in at 6. Wtf? Watling done something wrong?
No reason at all to declare today, and prior to lunch tomorrow would be impatientWith a declaration perhaps not all that far away Dan could well be playing his last test innings here, maybe they wanted to give him a chance to make something of it?
Agree totally. No need to risk Younis / Misbah making 150s, and a difficult 3-4 hours batting on last day. Will be easier getting the runs now.No reason at all to declare today ...
