Again, disagree. Why are we suddenly making out that deliberately lifting the ball over the slips in a test is CBF? It's a relatively safe shot when the pitch has good bounce as this one does today and there's no 3rd-man in place.
I know it's a very flat pitch, but playing a wristy uppercut away from your body, when you've been at the crease for fewer than 30 deliveries and your opening partner has just been dismissed is risky and reckless, especially when he score boundaries easily enough by thumping poor balls through the covers. Dunno, it's brilliant to watch but I wouldn't necessarily call it good batting in the purest sense.

OK that shot through the covers off Yasir definitely had Jesse CBF traits about it. not overpitched, didn't use his feet, just swung through the line. The other shots have been great though.

Yeah first ball too. Just can't escape the feeling that one away or the other he's trying to make a point with this innings.

We are both talking about Brendon McCullum here right? Have you seen his dismissals from the first 2 test? If anything his ramp shot over the slips was a darned-sight more calculated than his pull shots straight down deep mid-wicket's throat in the first couple of tests.

Ugh, I can't believe this pitcher is going to be allowed at the bowling crease one more time.

Rameez: "New Zealand secretly closing in on Pakistan."

If there is one word that I would choose to describe New Zealand's run accumulation in this innings, it certainly wouldn't be "secretive".

McCullum batting with no brains now. Come on mate, at least try and take this seriously.

don't think I've ever wanted a 100 from a non New South Welshman as much as I want a 100 here
