Regarding the 300 by an individual in an ODI innings. I think it becomes a lot harder again if and when they go back to 5 men allowed outside the ring. I really hope they return to that rather than the 4 presently allowed outside the ring after the world cup. It's just a little too easy even for an average bat to score at 10 rpo towards the end of the innings with only 4 men back on the boundary. Takes a little bit of the skill away from the batsmen imo and gives the bowlers on occasion a near insurmountable task.
The two new balls issue is more contentious imo because of its differing affects country by country. In Asia it seems to massively help the batsmen- Reducing reverse swing, and making the ball easier to hit later in the innings whilst having only a minimal effect on the start of the innings. In England though on occasion its a little too favourable for the seam bowler- still it's a more even game than Asia.
Without looking at the stats I'd guess the intro of these two rules has had the biggest impact on Indian ODIs but who knows. Outside of Asia it seems the new balls and fielder regulations have balanced out, whereas they've been particularly beneficial for batting in India.

Don't take that literally. What he meant is something like India needed some match practice before the Australia tour and they've made most of it.

really glad to see Angie get his maiden ODI ton(he is always the finisher in the team and has always got close but got out trying to push the team ahead), he batted really well and again, good to see Thirrimanne get some form with another half century..really pleased for Mathews to have scored 1000 runs in both tests and ODI's this year- i believe he is the first to do it this year ( good job Rohit was injured for so long LOL)..I cant see any issues with India knocking this off, hopefully we can get a few wickets in the process though...
