The article he posted doesn't negate the ferocious entitlement of his posts. I'm not saying he shouldn't want his team to be the best it can be, we all want that for our chosen club, but the way people are carrying on you'd think you were supporting a League 2 club in admin heading towards amateur status.

Yeah. The dream is 4-year-old you picking a team that's absolutely ****e at the time, lowering your expectations, before they go on to win titles from your big-club local rivals in injury time. On the whole Smitteh's probably had the best football-supporting experience possible.

But really, where have I said we have a divine right to win things or be successful? The fact that we make the exact same mistakes and show the exact same flaws season after season is where I criticize. I'd rather we tried something different than just be content staying on the treadmill.

I find it hard not to instinctively agree with the 'they are entitled moaners' argument but really I would not much fancy being an Arsenal fan right now. When did they last have a memorable or even unexpected win? Dortmund last year is the closest I can think of, that must be pretty ****.

But then again they did win a trophy last year...

I actually never knew Athletic only used players from the Basque region. No wonder they're so stingy with transfers. Buyout clause can obviously bypass that though.

Along with the big 2, the only club to never have been relegated and only Barcelona have produced more players for the national side.

Sociedad's policy was even more restrictive and it's only in the last couple of years they've started signing non-Basque Spaniards.

You are correct. Prior to that their policy was even more restrictive than Athletic's, they would only sign players from their particular region within the Basque Country. They had to give up on it and start signing foreigners when Athletic, as the biggest club in the region, kept stealing their best players.

I think Athletic's policy is great ftr. It's an enormous credit to them that they're so successful in spite of it.

This is a bit embarassing to admit, but I've enjoyed the ISL. Some insanely good goals have flown in.

I've enjoyed the ISL a lot more than I have Arsenal games recently. Helps when there are so many former Arsenal players playing and I can watch as a neutral. Gutted there's no Hyderabad team to go and watch though.
