The normal awards that everyone else has
Shoaib Akhtar- just raw pace. With Garner and Johnson that's an imposing pace battery.

- Joel Garner
- Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib? Really? Missed far more games than he played. A talent gone waste. Was a huge fan but chances are he woukd miss your game and you would have to rely on Mohammed Sami.

Saw him live a number of times. The buzz and energy that is created when someone as quick as him is bowling is phenomenal. Only other guy I've seen create that buzz is Johnson. I'd have loved to have seen Lillee and Thommo in their peak so much.

Anyways, he's free and fits my pace attack and works with my plan...

For the buzz and energy, I can vouch too. I remember an IPL game in which Shoaib was playing for KKR. He kept getting wickets and the entire crowd was just standing and shouting for more wickets. I have seen a lot of cricket but rarely have I seen such frenzy. A few years ago, when Akhtar had got SRT and RSD out, he managed to stun the whole crowd. Shoaib was one of my favourite cricketers. One of the fast men.
