*Official* Pakistan v Australia in UAE 2014

Nah. The bowlers bowl over arm and as the arm is raised and the umpire is standing a few feet away, even when the bowler is bowling close to the stumps, the umpire doesn't come in the vision of the bowler's release.

The fieldsman was in an area where he could be in batsman's vision. This is why, standing those positions is not done.

I can get my release point over the nonstriker's leg stump. My release point is too high for it to be a real issue but if I had a more slingy action and/or was less tall I'd imagine it would come out of the umpire's hat.

The batsmen bowl close to the stumps, either over or around the wicket, not on the stumps. Malinga too close to the stump can be an issue for sure. The batsman can ask the umpire for adjustments in that case. A quick google search tells be Stephen Fleming 'asked the umpire to change his belt and tie as he was having trouble spotting the ball against a dark background'.

Check Mitchell Johnson's release point and get back to me on that one.
Yeah Johnson's release point from left arm over is actually much closer to a standard right arm over release point than most left arm arm over bowlers. Pratters mentioned Malinga but I think the best example of this was Paul Harris.

we cut to the dressing room, where michael clarke is angrily blaming steve smith for brad haddin's injury.
"but skipper, it's black cats that create bad luck."
"you shut the **** up if you don't want to be on the next plane ride home, ****"

TPC will not be silenced

They won't send TPC home; him and Warner are the only ones scoring runs.

EDIT:
He does have a history with cats, tbf. No idea how neither of us has made a joke out of it yet.

Wow..the last week has been unbelievable..cant remember the last time I was on a high like this as a Pakistan supporter, the last time was probably the England series of 2011-12.
I have never seen Pakistan win a test series against Australia. I have seen 0-12 against Australia in my lifetime.. and I never thought this would be possible.
Just so happy for Younis and Misbah..Younis for being this amazing workhorse for Pakistan....he has such amazing qualities for a Pakistani...in a nation where Afridi is the ideal cricketer for fans, Younis is the most un Afridi player possible which is why he gets no credit whatsoever..and now that his performances are just too good to be ignored anymore, it's just an amazing feeling to see such poetic justice done.
Misbah as well..for the most vilified cricketer to be on the verge of winning a test series against Australia, something which has eluded more popular captains like Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis is just amazing.

Misbah is now on 47 of 66...I am a supporter of Misbah and find most of the criticism against him unfair and uninformed however what my criticism has always been of him is the way he paces his innings. This knock has demonstrated that he is more than capable of going at a strike rate of 70+ without playing any ridiculous shots, just by finding gaps and picking up singles and twos. And this is what he for reasons inexplicable does not do enough..I am not sure if he doesn't rate himself enough to do it or what the reason is, but he can easily bat this way and by now he would have far more hundreds than what he has to show for currently.
