Test debut Spark. Plenty of excellent bowlers have looked a little less than great on debut. And still despite bowling at less than his best (he would admit the same) he took more wickets than anyone else. Utterly bull**** decision.

I certainly didn't and don't advocate for Lyon to go. They should have kept the same XI.

Yeah this is the point I was making.

I get that Maxwell and Starc are basically a package team for the balance of the attack, and that's fine.. but Marsh isn't going to bowl much/at all in this attack on this wicket. Are they saying he's a better batsman than Doolan and Hughes now? Really?

maxwell coming in is the token dinky selection and fine, but dropping a bloke after one test for another unproven player really confirms the musical chairs.
