You know the rules. 8 centuries as opener against non minnows. Combined average with your first opener not to exceed 100 runs.

Here is the exception to the rule:

If your second opener is from the pre WW 2 era, then he should have scored at least 1500 runs as opener. Combined average with your first opener not to exceed 100 runs.

I had a hard time deciding between Kanhai and Harvey, in the end went with Harvey as I've never picked him in a draft whereas I've had Kanhai before.

How do people rate them as number 3s?

Both Kanhai and Harvey are very good. But I thought one of you might just select Clem Hill there.

Wasn't in my contention. Don't know enough about him to have an opinion on him. And didn't go down the list of potential no. 3 beyond Harvey and Kanhai.
