*Official* English Football Season 2014-15

and Woy is a better manager, more experienced in every way at International level. Less of a crook and a ****-wit too.
Concede on the second point obviously but it isn't really relevant. Can't agree with the first as in general in the last twenty years, Hodgson has had more failures than successes at his many different clubs.

Roy should really be trying the 4-4-2 diamond with Sterling behind Sturridge and Rooney. The English players are familiar with it and it's the best way to utilise that trio.

Sterling is just a freak. He's just 19 but he makes the difference so often these days. Almost every game.

I'm probably happier having not watched this, than I would have been if I had watched it.
Meh, it was a friendly, Sterling was good in patches, I was doing/viewing other things when watching it TBH. My expectations are practically zero though, so I was not going to be disappointed really.

I just really dislike watching England games outside of tournaments tbh, and it's bad enough in tournaments as well most of the time. Friendlies are almost always tedious, and qualifiers on the whole are mainly pointless given the disparity in the (supposed) quality between the teams in each group.

The definition of who is a poacher or a traditional striker (Both might mean different things anyway) and who is not is being made somewhat to suit the argument here.

(And also what roles some of these players played in previous or some seasons mentioned.)

Speaking about defined player roles and moulds is about as tedious as talking about formations for mine.

I don't agree with that at all. Obviously none of the players you fit into one category are going to be exactly the same. I found the blurring of Lambert and Carroll together as "target men" a bit irritating, for example, because they're such different players. But they're more similar than either are to Sturridge or Rooney or Defoe. It's still definitely a useful tool.
