Yeah, slightly over the top to say the least.
Yeah, as I said taking out the tail is really valuable to this England side. Struggle big time to do it.
Given Stokes was dropped for far better performances with the ball, Woakes probably has to go given consistency of selection. As I said I'd happily see Woakes at 6 and Ali at 8 though.

I can't see how an objective cricket fan can support this team's brand of cricket, to be honest. It lacks in aesthetics, intent, physical endurance, and testicular fortitude. It is ridden with obvious nepotism and a simultaneous sense of denial and entitlement. You may call me a fair weather fan but there is little to like here.

Yeah, for me Woakes bowls exactly as you'd expect a 5th bowler to. Tidy, decent pace but never really looks like threatening to take masses of wickets.

Yeah but he had 21 @ 25 3 years ago compared to 21 @ 21 this series.
In fairness he's taken 12 wickets in the last 2 tests for **** all runs but it's still a bit weird IMO.

It's not Sehwag, an in form Gambhir, Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman he's bowling to. These are young, inexperienced batsmen who, judging by the spinners India field in their Test side, aren't exactly facing quality spinners in their own domestic First Class competition. Why are we assuming the likes of Kohli, Rahane etc are good at playing spin because of their passports?
