The restraining order had the desired effect. Plus, the touring Indian team dedicated Harbhajan Singh to the task of keeping Jono away from Kohli. Unfortunately, Jono quite liked being slapped by Harbhajan.
How did they convince Harbhajan to go back to New Zealand? Did they bribe customs to wave him through?

Our esteemed Minister for Transport employed him to his security detail and good old Gerry just bypasses any kind of airport security and takes his staff through with him.

Another before lunch will be nice.
Yeah, I've been hoping for three a session, and we're on course. Kohli in indifferent form too.

Interesting stat just came up on TMS: only Gavaskar in 1979 has made more runs opening for India in England, than Vijay in this series.

All the more impressive when you remember that 1979 was, iirc, a 4 test series, and Vijay's only played two and a half so far.

Rahane's an excellent player of the hook (and pull) for an Indian batsman but he's a bit compulsive with it at times so it'll be an interesting contest if Broad continues to dig a few in to him.

Sure man! Try to pull the 4th ball of your innings........... It's really the sort of batting you can't even accept at the lowest levels of village cricket.

Bell's broken. Gonna need a new #4. #BringBackKP.
Broken finger?

Good news for Moeen, maybe.

As for who they bring in, maybe that depends on the result here. If we're still one down going to Old Trafford, we may play an extra bowler, especially given the batting strength of our lower order.
