***Official*** India in England 2014

Stapel

International Regular
England need to be somewhat productive here as the new ball is 19 overs away.
If England manage to not lose any wickets until the new ball, they will be quite happy, totally regardless of the number of runs scored. So far England have survived the first hour, adding 35 runs. Today the feeling of the occasion has changed from massive advantage for India, to big advantage for India.

Never write off the possibility that England will **** up. We'll find some way to collapse and lose, probably with victory in sight.

Its going to be a draw:

India aren't allowed to win a Test match overseas.
England aren't allowed to win a Test match period.

An almighty storm will strike out of the middle of nowhere if one of these universal laws is under threat IMO. Simply cannot happen.

I'm not sure if I'll even feel anything if we lose this. Won't be a shock. I'll be mad of course, but it just sort of feels an obligation to rage at India's overseas losses/missed opportunities

So now that he has been selected...he's just being ignored. So strange. Even the one edge he produced off Ballance was ignored by keeper and slip.

Underbowling Binny in Trent Bridge kinda made sense, could be justified. This cannot. Does he actually feel Dhawan is more likely to take a wicket than Binny in these conditions?
Even if he does, the guy has been picked in the team as an allrounder. How is he meant to play confidently if he doesn't have the confidence of his skipper? It's not even that he doesn't have the confidence of his skipper, the guy is deliberately ignoring him to make a point. It's outrageous.

I know that it's India overseas and all but these fourth innings chases do have a habit of changing in an almighty hurry so I wouldn't be despairing yet

Yeah true, so many times the team looks like they're coasting and then suddenly one wicket leads to 2-3 more. Lanka vs SA is a good example.

But as you said, India overseas is more like lolndia.
