***Official*** India in England 2014

International Captain
I hope Joe Root makes a big score today. Becoming my favourite player in the side. Nothing better than seeing a quick try and stare him down, and watching him smile back at them. Such a gun.

Think Ishant has bowled really well without reward so far this morning. Pitch should liven up when effects of roller wear off.

Dhawan. This could be either genius or pathetic. I will judge it in hindsight like the armchair critic I am.

Ghoni is such a mad-man - stands back to a spinner and hasn't bowled his best bowler yet

Social media will go nuts if India lose this

He really is trying to send a message, isn't he?

Kinda childish behaviour.
The thing is...this India side went out and looked for a Binny style player to balance the side. IDK if it was only Duncan Fletcher or the two of them, but it seems they were desperate to get Irfan Pathan, but he wasn't fit, so they pushed for Binny's selection.

It's not like Binny was tearing it up in Ranji or the IPL and was demanding selection.

So now that he has been selected...he's just being ignored. So strange. Even the one edge he produced off Ballance was ignored by keeper and slip.

Underbowling Binny in Trent Bridge kinda made sense, could be justified. This cannot. Does he actually feel Dhawan is more likely to take a wicket than Binny in these conditions?

It's pathetic as it removes at least one potential dismissal (stumping) from the equation
Charging out to Jadeja won't be the best idea tbh. Though Batsman can be clever and play outside their crease to cover the rough.

I think its blatantly obvious that Stuart Binny was not a selection Dhoni wanted.

These two look solid and pitching the ball up isn't getting anything. Jadeja not getting the breakthrough, probably not getting enough action on the ball. For the quicks the best length to trouble the batsmen is short of a length due to the uneven bounce, but that's not going to bring the bowled and LBW into play and these two are not going hard at balls outside off so finding the edge will be tough.

Can't see where India's next wicket is coming. Need the new ball.
