I might be coming round to the idea of a specialist captain, tbh.

I wouldn't be dropping Cook the batsman just yet, but his captaincy is surely having the last rites read.

As others have suggested, with Prior's woes ongoing (and I think his injury toll is at least partially responsible for both his keeping travails and his sudden weakness against anything short) Foster as a specialist keeper/captain stopgap might not be the worst idea. Root the only serious option and not convinced he's ready. Looks a very young 23yo, unlike Fat Gray who was born middle aged and burly.

Well, we could ruin Root or continue to grind Cook into the ground whilst turning a blind eye to Prior's ongoing horrorshow, I suppose.
