I kind of saw why Plunkett was picked again, he's quicker than he once was, and he has aggression about him. Yet his inaccuracy is still ridiculously poor.
Finn better in every way really, the guys doing okay in County Cricket time to end his exile I reckon.

only just seen the highlights after playing today and must say really well done to Root and Anderson on a fantastic rearguard action..excellent stuff..
Problem is that there's no clear cut answer to that question- In my opinion it's one of Sidebottom (retired from internationals), Finn (Understandably being given time to learn how to bowl again) or Woakes (doesn't seem to be trusted by the english management)
With an air of much of a muchness about the rest of the contenders, I can understand why Plunkett has been selected, given that he does offer a different kind of threat to the current attack, and I don't think he's done too badly so fair on some very unhelpful pitches.

If one assumes these first 4 days to be the way this entire series is played, I think this might just be the ****tiest series of all time.

Two ultra defensive captains who have no clue how to create something in trying circumstances, neither side has an amazing spin bowler to make something out of a pitch that does nothing and neither side has the type of dynamism in it to chase a victory by setting a quick aggressive target.

If there's a winner of this match they get there on the back of a 10th wicket partnership that outscored most of the specialist batsmen.
