Migara, apart from Aravinda who was a very good player, what has SL ever brought to cricket? I know theyre a well balanced side, like their supporters having chips on both shoulders, but they - like you - have a victim complex so large it makes even India seem positively stoic by comparison. You never hear from a happy Sri Lankan, they're like taxi drivers and farmers - always whinging and miserable, like you. Their players and supporters are rude, they're inept away from home and their leading wicket taker has more asterixes next to his name than anyone in history. They play the victim yet bend the rules; their fielding is invariably woeful; they can't cope with bounce and can't bowl a bouncer.
They currently have their 23rd international bowler having his action reviewed but refuse to admit their players are developed to be dodgy; since the time of Ranatunga their captains have been widely reviled and, frankly, cheated then spat the dummy when called on it. They like to gob off, and we have idiots like that YorksLanka bloke taking about "the lion" within a team which is more Clarence the Cross Eyed than the King of Beasts.
Isn't it just time they went away? No one will miss them. They should just go away. No one will say "I miss the mediocre days of Sri Lanka. I miss the dropped catches, try hard medium pacers and over rated flat track bullies. I miss the one good session they put together over a four test series and I really yearn for a good Mankad by a bloke who once pitched for the LA Dodgers". No one will say that, because they're so so non-descript.
