To be fair Swann said his father thought mankading was a disgrace earlier.. then came around to say if it's withing the rules he was fine with it.

Mankading is perfectly justifiable.

I wouldn't even give a bloke a warning.

They're basically trying to cheat by leaving their crease early. Run the buggers out.

False. Vaughan criticised Mathews and Swann said it was perfectly legal.
Point is they are both in the "spirit of the game has been broken" camp when really, Sena did his bit by warning the batsman anyway. How many times do you need to warn the non striker for them to take it seriously? Here are their quotes

Swann "To be clear on this, I think the mankad is just wrong even though it's not illegal. Like cuddling your sister whilst watching a film"

Vaughan : "Totally blame the captain... He is the man who makes the decisions and should have overturned the decision... No way to play the game "

If spirit of cricket doesn't exist then booing the oppositions success is totally logical. Football teams don't applaud oppositions goals.

That was a strange shot!

It is not something I am going to get outraged about but it is just **** cricket.

You can perfectly legitimately argue that if that batsmen did not leave his crease it would never have happen and all that but it is just not something I want to watch people doing on a regular basis.

Why is it **** cricket? Shows presence of mind from the bowler. And how is it any different from the non striker getting runout by the old straight drive flicking the bowlers finger onto the stumps dismissal? Both punish the non striker for backing up too far.

Tbf, I do get what yoyou're saying though about how it shouldn't be a regular thing. I can just see the likes of Ashwin and Ajmal using a pause in their delivery stride to dummy the non striker into a Mankad.
