South Africa isn't winning this.Yeah for now but they need his bowling more. Aggravating his injury and not bowling in the second innings would be disastrous.

****tier things have happened in cricket.South Africa isn't winning this.
Not actually sure about this. They need some runs now to have any chance of winning the game, and the more time they bat the easier it will be to draw the game later on, whereas there isn't too much he can realistically do with the ball to influence the match at this stage I'd sayYeah for now but they need his bowling more. Hasn't looked troubled at all.I've missed play after tea. Is Philander surviving more balls than any other batsman a display of proper batsmanship? Or is it his lucky day?

Yeah theory goes that where he lets go of the ball, right in front of the umpire's body with his low sling means you don't get as good a look at it on the way down. There's got to be something about Johnson's pace, action or angle of release or something which seems to compel even top players to play really wide balls from over the wicket. It's always happened, whether he's bowled well or bowled crap.
Yeah, but also certainly not what Clarke was hoping for after SA were 140/6. Australia now doesn't have a huge amount of time to win the game. He might well have to #riskalosstowin.Great day for the Aussies, exactly what Clarke would've been hoping for this morning
Speaking of balls out, when are you streaking through Martin Place, ****?Yep. No kudos unless you put out balls on the line. Shame for skidmark00
Most Friday nights between 10 and 10:30.Speaking of balls out, when are you streaking through Martin Place, ****?
Definitely the angle, his action and also the lack of conscious decision-making time you have with a guy bowling 150 clicks. Even a guy with the tightest technique will sometimes have a nibble at that pace and think 'why the hell did I do that'.Yeah theory goes that where he lets go of the ball, right in front of the umpire's body with his low sling means you don't get as good a look at it on the way down.
