I've almost completely lost faith in Rohit now. He strangles the innings every time

I had said that even in the Australia series where he scored a hundred and a double hundred. He's too risk averse at the start for a long time. And he is no Dhoni when it comes to making up for slow starts.

BTW this is the kind of day when Dhoni would have been very useful. Could have made a difference of 25 runs in death overs. Let's see what India does without him.

Yeah and there were some people saying the batting is not a problem at all in the NZ tour thread. It was obvious back then and even more obvious now how utterly dependant we are on Dhoni and Kohli. The rest, bar Dhawan are quite useless

even at 217/7 a score of 250 was always on the cards.....but those 2 sixes from Shami helped get those very helpful runs......

India should fancy themselves here but SL should be decent since they are used to the pace of the wickets in Bangladesh thanks to their recent tour
