If the world had not been black and white in the 30s Larwood would have bowled at 110 mph
Agree on most of these apart from the Kallis one tbh.39)Lara's ability to win matches
40)Dravid's "perfect" technique and him being the best thing ever against swing bowling
41)Kallis' batting in general
42)Gavaskar being a master against the great west Indian bowlers
43) The "pitches were roads in the 2000s" theory
44) Kane Williamson's potential
45) The ability to swing the ball both ways

hendrix;3238755 Swinging the ball both ways is awesome when it's done well but it's not a necessary skill and often gets in the way of good bowling plans and execution. Jimmy Anderson does it well. Shane Watson sometimes produces a good one-two. Zaheer Khan was good at it. But Steyn has never bowled an in swinger and he's miles better than all of those blokes.[/QUOTE said:Yup, I'm a firm believer that if you absolutely perfect your stock ball, whichever way it swings, you'll get plenty of wickets. So many yours we see commentators saying a bowler's talent is amazing because he swings it both ways. It helps sure, but I'd much rather prefer a perfect stock ball than a decent inswinger and outswinger
I beg to differ - though that might be to do with c9.ABC commentary team. They aren't that good you'd turn down the tv and listen to the radio.
That's not a record, just his PB.Has already beaten his top score. So...
mph is a ridiculous measurement so we can we please stick to kph so that we all have a real idea as to how fast something is travelling? Also, the person that decided that 1760 yards should equal 1 mile must have been on drugs. After all, how is that different to 1759, 1761, or some other random number?Larwood was measured at 96mph actually. But that was done a few years back by guys using never to be under estimated modern technology.
Couldn't agree more on this. He's not a bad player but the public and media over here make him out as if he's one of the best players in the world at times.44) Kane Williamson's potential
Anything that is 'recorded' by statisticians is a record, ****.That's not a record, just his PB.
Kind of think metric v imperial is like the roundheads and cavaliers part 2. The oiks have won again.mph is a ridiculous measurement so we can we please stick to kph so that we all have a real idea as to how fast something is travelling? mph is over-rated
kph is a ridiculous measurement so can we please stick to fractions of the speed of light so that we all have a real idea as to how fast something is travelling? Saying this as a mod or what?so can we please stick to fractions of the speed of light so that we all have a real idea as to how fast something is travelling?
It'd make speed gun readings more interesting.Saying this as a mod or what?
1 light year = 3.72461748 × 1017 inches.Spark how long is your dick in light years?
