FINALLY someone gets an umpiring decision right, thinks Kohli /neveroutHaha, look at Kohli in the replay. Reminiscent of the infamous puzzled Broad look.
No no no, your anger is best channelled at Steve Davis. Awful series.Used to like kohli but hes now moved to biggest **** in cricket. Even
Stuart broad would have walked
yeah, suppose i was a bit carried away. Hopefully it will be his lastNo no no, your anger is best channelled at Steve Davis. Awful series.
He's going to be an ATG, tbh. Don't think concentration is an issue. What do you guys think about Kohli as a test match batsman? I just don't think he's got the concentration yet in test matches..
Well, yeah, I get what you're saying but he's the vice captain of a team and an establishment that is against DRS because of its purported inefficiencies. Doesn't that sort of place the moral onus on him to walk? hmmnah kohli was right not to walk. never ever walk.
No, the only onus would be to accept the umpires decision, not make it for him.Well, yeah, I get what you're saying but he's the vice captain of a team and an establishment that is against DRS because of its purported inefficiencies. Doesn't that sort of place the moral onus on him to walk? hmm
Even that's something Kohli hasn't done a great job of on this tour, IMO.No, the only onus would be to accept the umpires decision, not make it for him.
did you watch him at all in SA? He's a genius. At the moment he plays a pretty innings but not a match winning one as he doesn't stay in long enough though, ATG is far too early to say yet I think.
except then he looks so shocked and frankly dissentful when he's given out.No, the only onus would be to accept the umpires decision, not make it for him.
Haha yeah, the same thing happened when Bennett nicked him out in the 3rd ODI. Seems to be the type who gets pissed off when he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt, even when he's out.except then he looks so shocked and frankly dissentful when he's given out.
When he was given at Eden Park (when he was actually out, btw, it was an exceptional bouncer from Southee) he kicked up a fuss and wouldn't stop staring at the umpire.
Yeah it's not the not walking that we dislike. Did you see his reaction in the first test when he was given and subsequently shown to be clearly out?Kohli did not seem to be acting as if he hadn't nicked it - far from it in fact. As soon as he edged it his shoulders slumped and he went down on his bat head and eyes down as if saying "Oh sh## what have I done!" He did not look up for what must have been like 2 seconds and then as the Kiwis still celebrating he looked up to find the umpire had not given him out. He just realised his great stroke of luck and stayed put . . . as batsman do nowadays all over the world.
No. Its unfair to accepts that not walking is passé and then criticise him for 'cheating' when all he did was to accept his great fortune AFTER he realised he had been given not out.
Of course I wish all batsmen walk. If Kohli had walked, I would have applauded him but I would have been in a minority of one amongst Indian supporters . . . I agree the Kiwi supporters would have applauded him too :o)
