NcCullum's bowling has been good this series - yes he bowls through the middle overs and so we would expect a lower econ rate than most other bowlers, but even so consistently conceding under 5 per over from his spells is pretty good.

Jadeja picking up right where he left off in that heartbreakingly awesome innings on Saturday.

And here we see Bennett playing the "short ball" routine..

Look at the last six to ten overs by the pace bowlers - full and straight = singles or dots. Short = fours, sixes and misqueued singles. Bennett has gone short twice this over and gone for four both times. Why are they not learning from this ****? Short is fine when the heat isn't on for boundary scoring, because playing a short ball defensively or attempting to find gaps is much harder - but wanting to hit fours, getting short bowling opens up every single option you can imagine.

Before this tour, everyone spoke of Jadeja as a laughing stock considering his high first class record and lack of international performance - good to see NZ playing another one of these types of players into form.

Yeah, really poor execution. The margin of error is so much less on a slow wicket for a Bennett-like bowler.
I just don't see what these guys are offering that means we can't invest a good run of ODIs into Trent Boult. The talk is that it means we're a bit samey in terms of bowlers at the top order, all relying on swing - but Mills, Bennett, McCleneghan all pretty much rely on swing too.
