*Official* English Football Season 2013-14

For all the stick Fergie gets for not sorting out the midfield, Fletcher - Hargreaves - Carrick at their respective peaks (which *should* have coincided) would have been tremendous.

Would it? Two fine players and Hargreaves had his moments but not convinced that they would have been a great trio.

Well given Hargreaves broke about 5 years ago I reckon criticism is fair enough.

Perhaps they could have done with a slightly more potent attacking threat among them, but with a fluid three of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez up top, that wouldn't have been particularly necessary.

Bristol City did it first. Gave a lot of youngsters ridiculously long contracts at mega-money (for then), and most of them turned out to be crap or just not bothered.
Northampton went from 4th to 1st and back again in 9 seasons. Some effort that.

BARNES OUT
Even if we don't win anything this season I think this is one of my favorite City teams I can remember. Can't remember watching a more entertaining side, not only do we win beautifully when we lose its usually a monumental calamity haha.

Need to keep their heads.

Having said that I'm still fuming as ****, but then I'm not on the pitch.

Was it that bad? I missed it but from the sounds of things it was a wrong but not shocking decision. Terrible to have the really, really good goals wrongly disallowed though.

I know I'm biased but it was utterly atrocious and I don't see how anyone could view otherwise. The whole reason for 'interfering with play' was to avoid stupid **** like this. The referee was in a great position too, the fact that it was such a class strike adds to the whole thing.

I need to lie down.

Some on twitter are arguing that Hart might have not dived because he wasn't sure whether the offside player would take a touch, which is sort of interfering.

But that isn't the rule, it's for clearly obstructing the opponent's line of vision, which in no way was he doing. Getting out of the way of the ball isn't interfering with play, nor should it ever be.

What about if he'd let it run through his legs? Surely that'd be interfering?

EDIT: I'm just arguing for the sake of it here ftr. Should've been a goal.
