Bah. Awful, awful series. Only positives for me are Stokes and perhaps the dawning of a new era which potentially brings excitement of its own.
For Australia, stabilise the top order and I can't see why they don't go to #1 again

I doubt you'll win over there but over the next couple of years you can challenge for the top spot if the batting clicks properly. No point pretending it's all been glorious in that respect, top order has been as embarrassing as ours in first innings in general, though individuals have still stood up which is the big difference in that respect.

I wouldn't say the team in 09 was any better than this one, as they proved playing England in 09 and 10/11. The bowling is as good. Batting could go either way, but if we manage to put together some scores then we could get up.

Also says it all that Stokes was considered lucky to be on the tour yet he was probably our best player.
