Lol i thought so as well. Ryder could have probably scored his ton a little quicker had he not started feeding Anderson the strike. If Anderson had not scored his ton we would be talking about Ryder's instead. It was a good one

Yeah, getting smashed in LO cricket on good batting decks isn't going to help his development.I want Milne to bowl on TV because I'm his propaganda machine but I'm worried playing his worst format will see him get smashed and he'll be a lesser long form player by trying to be a good limited overs player, making my propaganda job harder.
I've been a broken record on him bowling in limited overs for a while but until he can hold his own domestically I don't see the point in him being anything other than a test prospect. If he gets smashed all it does is give the agribusiness boom more ammo to play James Baker ahead of him.
If he plays the next game though he will take 5fer. I have foreseen his coming of age.
He reminds me of Ian Butler, or even Heath Davis. Bowlers picked for their speed and not their bowling ability. He needs to prove his class in domestic cricket before he plays for NZ.

It must suck being 12.
Butler wasn't even that fast. Got up to 145 occasionally. Davis had no ball problem that is why he was dropped. Did you know he got 5/100 odd in his last test?

So yeah, Milne and Bennett are competing in their own little two-man category for ODI caps itbt. If you were surveying the landscape with Hesson and Bradburn.
Test cricket will give him an opportunity to bowl more overs and attack batsmen more. They won't be going after him in the same fashion as limited overs cricket.
Having a bowler operating over 150kph is rare and we should try and find a spot for Milne.

I don't mind giving him a run in the ODIs for some experience but until he starts putting up some FC five fers I would not put him in the test team. My sole reason for saying this is Shaun Tait. The man is lightening quick but his best bowling figures were 3/121 and his econ over 4 runs per over.

I mean I'm all for protecting cricket but this is a pretty poorly researched article. He only has to look back to the first ODI in the series to see that the West Indians are very capable bowlers. Or even watch Holder's first over vs Guptill.
There were a few full tosses that crept in but that happens when there's a batting partnership of that quality putting pressure on the bowlers.

Um, yeah, OK. A record that has stood for 18 years. I'd call breaking a record that has stood for that long pretty special.
Really weird article. I wonder if this guy was complaining about the "cheapening of records" with Hayden's 380 shortly followed by Lara's 400.
Breaking a world record used to be so rare. Five seconds of research says "How about no, Scott?"
