Haha, and a cheeky young guy like Bravo was unable to resist saying what most of us would want to but probably wouldn't!

When things are going well, incidents like that are swept under the carpet and dealt with internally IMHO. But Sammy has so much pressure on him, he knew his time as a Test captain and regular was up and the press and fans are all against him. He is a nice and humble guy, but he clearly lost it here. One of many reasons why it is time to say goodbye to him in the longer format.

Well that has clearly confirmed that Sammy did in fact pelt down Bravo. In which case the wrong cricketer is going home! This has me seriously annoyed tbh, Darren Sammy deserves all the flack he is going to get.

Also, Otis Gibson cannot man manage to save his life. This is yet another example of one of our better players falling out with him to the extent that they have to leave the tour or just aren't picked. We are not blessed with much depth and cannot afford for this to happen. He and Sammy need to be gotten rid of after this tour.

I am unconvinced about Saker, so I would take Gibson back in a heartbeat. Think he did some really nice work as a bowling coach for us.

Our list of players missing from this series is becoming a bit silly. If New Zealand don't win this I honestly think serious questions should be asked. All they have to do is put half decent totals on the board (can't see this West Indies team chasing anything above 240 for example, we have hardly any batsmen left).

Bating lineup for next game?

Johnson Charles (out of form)
Kieron Powell (horribly out of form)
Kirk Edwards (not a ODI player, too slow, doesn't rotate the strike)
Lendl Simmons (decent ODI batsman)
Dwayne Bravo (underperforming with the bat for months now)
Narsingh Deonarine (not good enough)
Denesh Ramdin (thoroughly average with the bat in ODIs)
Darren Sammy (won 2 matches recently, big dangerman but very hit or miss)
Jason Holder
Sunil Narine
Ravi Rampaul

That is an awful awful batting lineup without Gayle, Samuels, Bravo or Pollard. That is far too much for us to cope with, we should be utterly annihilated unless the bowling performs miracles.

I think he is a decent technical coach, particularly with bowlers. He has done some excellent work with Rampaul and Roach who both sing his praises. He has however, completely failed as a manager and as a result we have lost some very important batsman and he has seriously offended Gayle, Shiv and Sarwan at different points. Please take him back! we don't need someone quite so technical at this stage, we just need our best XI out on the park! Let the technical stuff be done at youth and FC level.

Tbf NZ's ODI bowling - Mill's aside- is pretty terribad.
Great opportunity for Milne to come in and make an impression. No Gayle (noted destroyer of rookie bowlers), so I would definitely be giving him a chance if I were NZ management. Neesham looked pretty awful to me, I'd replace himw with Milne.

Neesham is a batting all-rounder being forced to play as a bowling all-rounder, ideally he would bat at seven and be your fourth seamer, not your third. Unfortunately for him Corey Anderson exists. New Zealand seem hell bent on developing them on the fly together however.

Yeah it seems McCullum is making suggestions Milne and his "out-and-out pace" will play tomorrow.

The talk of the domestic thread has been about Milne's useless figures (and whether he can be bowling above high 130s to actually have such figures), but I see he was getting Auckland hopping around two weeks ago in Napier -

You can maybe afford to carry one run leaking wicket taker in an odi side, but NZ's bowling is overflowing with 5.5+ rpo bowlers at the moment.
Agreed, you're being a bit disingenuous to suggest one of them is not a good ODI bowler though. Just because he's Gavin Larsen doesn't mean he's not a bloody effective white ball bowler.

Still too many half trackers.
