Always been the biggest criticism of SA's commentators. Rather than just being **** (India's comm. team) or cheerleaders (C9), they just used to be condescending and not discuss the other team much. Hasn't been the case here.

I was about to say something like that. But remember, prior to 2006, India had never even won a Test match in SA. Just drawing in SA was considered a nice result.

Ganguly was our best bat in 06 tbf to him. Was a better player than his record suggests. I think Captaincy started affecting his batting towards 04/05 before he was dropped. Otherwise he would have averaged 45-46 IMO.

Yeah good knock. It is funny though that a batsman with such an obvious weakness against the short ball actually did well on occasion against Donald and co

450 lead or tea, whichever comes first imo. Play sensibly this session then go hard at them after lunch.

All the way to tea would be way too long IMO. Wickets come in bunches but partnerships can still be built. Four sessions is really pushing it. Probably mentally too, if SA come out knowing that.

I do think the 450 will come first though.

If it doesn't, then we're maybe looking at a 400ish total, which I'm not really comfortable giving them ~130 overs to chase. Maybe Dhoni has more balls than me though :p
