The Wheel is Forever
I was about to say something like that. But remember, prior to 2006, India had never even won a Test match in SA. Just drawing in SA was considered a nice result.Has anyone noticed that the SA commentators have been far less condescending to the Indian batsmen this match and have not just always spoken about what SA are doing right or wrong? In 2006 and 2010 I always felt like they had never seen Laxman's epic innings and whenever India did well (Jo'burg 2006 and Durban 2010) they spent most of the time talking about what SA do poorly.
They haven't nearly done that as much here. Of course they have mentioned SA's faults in bowling too short, but they have praised India plenty here. Wonder if its because they have been genuinely surprised and impressed by the young guys, as opposed to wanting to make it known that South Africa have gun batsmen just like India's fab 4/5.
Always been the biggest criticism of SA's commentators. Rather than just being **** (India's comm. team) or cheerleaders (C9), they just used to be condescending and not discuss the other team much. Hasn't been the case here.
