Beamer how come he got so smoked in India? He could do with varying his flight and length but he doesn't look to be down there with the Kerrigan's of this world.

I think that ball illustrates my point
That was pretty horrid defense from Sodhi, he's better than that. There's a reason Narine is one of the top limited overs bowlers and it's because he's hard to attack. No point swinging at him with Permaul looking decidedly easier at the other end.

Has bowled really well. I honestly didn't expect him to do this well but full credit to him.
He has clearly learned from his first stint in Tests, he's bowling a lot fuller and has slowed his pace down a little bit.

It looks like Ish was so psyched out about the knuckleball that he forgot the offspinner existed hence the massive gap between bat and pad. Most of our problems against Narine are mental imo.

It was Bangladesh not India. He has had 3 bad test matches. One away in England when it was freezing cold and Graham Swann got clobbered too. In Bangladesh he just bowled far too short and the pitches didn't tactually turn much at all.

Against Bangladesh I'm sure he couldn't afford to slow it up this much because they're much more adept at getting down the pitch, and the pitch was probably slower

edit: hurrrrrr why do i keep thinking he played against india

Good point, he was very loose. Narine wasn't looking to bowl economically though, if he had been taken to the ropes a couple of times that would probably have changed.

ah right, so i guess they could just read him off the pitch then?

Yep he got cut an awful lot on that tour. He just bowled really badly tbh. He's a good bowler and given time he might well be World Class in tests too.
