Southee hitting sixes is so pure, pfft Narine getting him out, I actually have a crush on this Kiwi team, if Jesse came back I'd fold..

That's another one that probably shouldn't have been given but DRS has it striking in line by a millimetre. Things are starting to go our way it seems.
They've been consistent.

With pitching in line, hitting in line etc, I'm pretty happy for it to be umpire's call. It's still going on to hit the stumps, and I used to hate watching guys like Ponting et al aggressively use that rule in a really cynical way - just get the pad outside the off stump and pretend you're playing a shot.

The one saving grace is our tail isn't absolute mud anymore. So we could still get close.

Its a pretty standard tactic, Williamson was using it to handle Narine

Ponting used to do it to pace bowlers, particularly inswing bowlers, and at that time not only did we not have DRS, but he also used to be quite intimidating to the umpires. Noone was going to give him out if there was even a chance he got outside the line.

Williamson's tactic didn't work, did it. Gotta use the bat.

Fair enough then

WI suck but Taylor's series here should not be underestimated. What a champion. And not that it is the be all and end all, but that batting average is creeping up very nicely.
