Haven't seen the pitch but I'd have much preferred we bat. They don't have any good bowlers and our batsmen are in form. We would've been able to bat them out of the series.

Unless it's very green I'd think it's a strange decision from McCullum.

McCullum doesn't bat first. That despite the fact that all of the times he's lost the toss and been asked to bat in recent times NZ have done pretty well.

The Wellington test against England was a particularly terrible decision.

weird decision. It's like McCullum wants us to win despite doing everything in the wrong order to show off. Don't trust our batsmen with scoreboard pressure at all

Gotta disagree with Doull it's a bad batch, we've been pulling this stunt for 12 months. We're just really good at lying to umpires.

We really need to quit it with the knee-jerks after three overs of no swing. Boult and Southee always take a few to get it moving.
