Don't get Tahir, he absolutely bullies domestic cricket. It's not like a seam bowler where they're not quite quick enough to have their skills impose on better bowlers, or their MO is too reliant on pitch assistance which they don't get from International decks... the bloke just bowls well in domestic cricket and then rocks up and bowls genuine puss in Tests. Fullies, half trackers, nowhere near as much work on the ball.
Apparently he gets a ton of wickets with his googly. Not gonna work at Test level though.

I'm not really convinced he should be bowling at all on Day 1 when Kallis and Duminy exist. He's not been picked for Day 1 but he's bowling on Day 1 just because he's been picked, which is problematic.
Yeah it is problematic when he bowls gash, but I feel as though you have to give him a few overs on day 1 before Duminy. He's created a wicket out of nothing from his bowling, so that's something.

Have thought for a while Kohli is the Indian KP. That run out kind of reaffirms it in my mind.

It's the Me Me Me Tour of Sourh Africa, 2013-14

Not as effectively as it could. Jo'burg 2011 to confirm.
I'm not saying it's perfect so I'm not sure why I get the impression you're arguing with me. But in that Test he did make both Siddle and Lyon look silly with it in the first dig.

Was expecting someone to say this coz the Indian batsmen were doing fine:D But the errors made by the bowlers have eased the pressure on India, the pitch has enough assistance for the pacers.
I've already said I love this Indian middle order and the contest of them vs this SA (seam) attack is excellent. But there's no denying this pitch is flatter than on their last tour. It just is. It doesn't even mean this a worse performance ffs, it's not.

I think it was sunny, but it had been pouring in the morning so was pretty humid and the pitch had some juice in it.
Did a quick sneak peek into that Centurion match. I was falsely reminded of it being a cloudy, unclear day but those wre only the pre-match conditions.

Won't call today's square a flat one though. Has been a fair bit of seam movement off the pitch early on.
