No we're not we already about 30 past a good total. But yes, it was irritating nonetheless. We're still 100 runs short of a good total. Not a good time to get out Taylor.

You really think there's that much in it for the bowlers? Because from the softness of the wickets it seems like we should be about three down and on our way to 500 at this point, rather than 6 down.No we're not we already about 30 past a good total. But yes, it was irritating nonetheless.
****, just when we thought he was past all thatTaylor started swinging and edging just before stumps.
He "hit the wall at 110" and got tired according to the post stumps interview.
From what I saw that's primarily because the West Indies spent the majority of the day bowling way too short, or bowling their spinners on a first day green wicket. Whenever they pitched it up, the batsmen looked pretty uncertain, as shown by the straightforward chances off Taylor and Rutherford in the morning. This is definitely a 300ish pitch. You really think there's that much in it for the bowlers? Hmmm not sure about that. It's meant to be overcast tomorrow, and there's rain forecast for Friday. Should help to keep the wicket fresh. This pitch will be as flat as Dunedin on days 4 and 5. Definitely need 100 runs from the tail.
Yeah, but even today which was half overcast it browned up considerably.Hmmm not sure about that. It's meant to be overcast tomorrow, and there's rain forecast for Friday. Should help to keep the wicket fresh.
As reluctant as I am to replace Bruce Edgar my childhood hero and fav player - the path that Ross Taylor has trodden over the past 18 months has been difficult and demanded much of his character. These past two innings, his 200 and this century have been very powerful when set against that backdrop. Although we would have stood and clapped for any NZ centurion I would like to note that everyone stood at an instant without looking to the right or to the left of them or worrying that they might be the only person standing. And we stood as long as we could. He is a remarkable New Zealander and I am proud of him.Pretty jealous i'm not in welly
