Australia are in a terrific position but to suggest that this game is over, is crazy. Bell, just needs to produce a performance like he did a few months back and not losing this match, is very achievable.

So predictable that former number 3 Chappelli, was going to talk about Bell batting at 3.

You're right, but there's comfort in despair.

One characteristic this England team has had in recent years has been the ability to recover from adversity. And as you say Bell epitomised that earlier this year. All the same, I've not got a good feeling about this.

The difference with Bell's rescue jobs in the summer was that we generally only needed a team total of 300 to be ahead or close behind. If Bell and Carberry put on a highly unlikely 300 stand here and we're still way out of it.

Not to write Stokes off but well it's hard to see many runs following the next wicket.

These two are both looking good mind you.

Bell lucky there, this has been seriously ****ing idiotic today. Don't know where we go from here if it carries on for the rest of the match. The batting needs major surgery.

Bell's just struggling to come to terms with the pace of this pitch I think. He's looking more convincingly positive than anyone else for us so far.

It's not that I don't enjoy us being positive. It's woken me up. But I can't help but feel disaster is just around the corner.

Lyon has to go around to bell here, dunno why he's gone over with the success he's had around? Less bounce here than in Brisbane but short leg and short backward are still in play.
