Because his career overlapped with this guy - they were playing NZ domestic cricket at the same time - so cricinfo wanted a way to differentiate them.

If Anderson could learn to generate a little reverse swing he'd be a very handy bowler. He's certainly good at keeping things very tight.

He does have some weird sort of natural inswing. It was strange watching him in bangladesh. The ball definitely wasn't reversing, but it wasn't new either, and he was getting consistent, if slow movement.
