100 partnership from these two, and sounds like they've done it easily.

Hopefully we can somehow pick up a wicket before stumps. What's the general feeling surrounding the selection of Sodhi out of interest?

It's really not. There's still plenty of men in close, but there's no point in going hard with 5 slips at this point. The batsmen are too well set.

Yes because conceding runs is such a massive concern for us at the moment.
You'd be surprised how quickly you can piss away 300 runs in conditions like this. Still need to pick the right times to attack and when wagner is bowling tripe is not one of them imo.

Sodhi is almost more like an off-spinner than a leggie. Most of his deliveries seem to be pushing into the batsman rather than threatening the outside edge

All of a sudden, I wholeheartedly approve! Fantastic breakthrough.

Very useful lower-order bat, too.

Having said that, I don't think we should feed him to the Indian batsmen later in the summer.

This is a perfect match situation for a leg-spinner to develop their skills - plenty of runs to play with and wickets being of primary importance. If we could replicate this more frequently then would surely help Sodhi's development into an attacking spinner.
