Really? Looked like a concerted plan to tuck him up to me. He looked very uncomfy against Tino.Well that was jammy. Danger of a lollapse here. Watling and Taylor need to plug the leaks.
Not by CW, but who knows what the selectors think. He's been selected as an allrounder first though, initially to allow us to play two spinners. Is Anderson considered to be the one of the best six available batsman for New Zealand at the moment, or is he partly in there to get through a few overs? Not a cynical question btw, I'm genuinely curious.
always hesitant to use "Tino Best" and "Plan" in the same sentence tbhReally? Looked like a concerted plan to tuck him up to me. He looked very uncomfy against Tino.
But it's at 120kph so it's terrible.Sammy is actually bowling really nicely here. Hint of away swing and the odd one that seams in.
He wasn't initially - he was behind Brownlie and was brought in because it allowed us to play 2 spinners with one of them being Sodhi who's quite wayward. Is Anderson considered to be the one of the best six available batsman for New Zealand at the moment, or is he partly in there to get through a few overs? Haha, yes, saw that. Honestly made my day.Cricinfo comment: "What NZ does miss is a true all rounder much like Murphy Sua back in the 90s."
seriously? pretty sure you've got bigger issues in Gabriel and Best. Sammy did his 3rd seamer job pretty acceptably when you look at how they've done.Cruel but true. Sammy going off the pitch with an injury is the single most positive thing to happen in this test so far. Don;t like saying that, but the it seems the only way we will be able to have a stronger lineup for the next test.
