If Warner keeps his head and his form, and keeps Swann out, he'll make bucketloads this summer. Looks so settled at the crease.

EDIT: Rogers, meanwhile...

Where did this myth that Root has a knack of taking wickets whenever he bowls? 2 out of 12 innings he has taken a wicket...whoaaaa

Not quite that simple. He definitely pushes it through a bit more - though I agree that's not necessarily deliberate
Indeed but I once saw him say something like "sometimes the ball just doesn't turn - it makes me look good", although I think he may have said that to be funny

But what had changed with Johnson? He's bowling the same stuff as he always bowls.

No one has doubted Johnson's ability to bowl the short ball. But what we have learned today is two things:

1. He still doesn't swing the ball
2. He still doesn't seam the ball
3. There are a few English batsmen who are sub continental against short pitch bowling (Carberry, Trott, Broad, Tremlett)
Yeah after I wrote that I thought what I actually mean is "if Johnson can get results like that 3 or 4 more times".

It isn't a ball he bowls deliberately I don't think, it's just an off break that doesn't turn
He varies how much the seam is tilted from the upright position (assuming it is rotating along the seam). The axis of rotation is never quite pointed towards the sky or towards the batsman, but somewhere in between

And how good is it that now he can take as long as he likes this game to get settled?
