Ahh right. Yeah as NUFAN said he's basically employed for his league knowledge and he's pretty good at that. Absolutely awful if asked to talk about anything else though.I mean neither.
Some **** named James Hooper I'm told
But he speaks as if he's an authority on the game of cricket. He's absolutely dire beyond comprehension.Ahh right. Yeah as NUFAN said he's basically employed for his league knowledge and he's pretty good at that. Absolutely awful if asked to talk about anything else though.
Yeah I can't disagree with that at all.But he speaks as if he's an authority on the game of cricket. He's absolutely dire beyond comprehension.
I'm wondering where those Kiwi areas are. I forgot you were more on the GC, heard from some mates who live in South Brisbane that the hail was pretty epic. Hard and fast (in a Greigy accent) would be good. I miss Tonyhes funny when he laughs though, his whole body bobs up and down. mostly because he cracked a joke and then laughed straight away
got a bit of hail at work n00fs. didn't think we'd get it tbh, a rare event, normally dumps down on the cheap kiwi inhabited areas. expecting the ice to cool and harden the pitch. cold tempered.
Oh **** yes.If Rebecca Wilson counts as a sports journalist (which I believe she classes herself as despite not ever actually writing about sport) then she's by far the worst.

Be very surprised if it isn't greenish as it has been chucking it down virtually every afternoon/evening for the last couple of weeks here and next few days are forecast to be the sameJames Hooper is a League writer so not that surprised you didn't know him. He isn't the absolute worst when talking League. I'm not watching tonights episode, but yeah I found him clueless about some other sports.
How were the hailstorms UV? Are the hailstorms making it still a bat first pitch? Kevin Mitchell Junior will make it a perfect pitch no doubt.
95% of his stuff is about rugby league I think. I'm not sure I've ever read a Rothfield cricket article; I've heard him chat cricket in a completely light-hearted way though so it's possible they exist. Would be a mad fan of whoever scored runs in the last domestic game (be it Sheffield Shield or BBL..) and demand their Test inclusion I reckon; does it with his NSW SoO articles.i don't actually remember any of rothfield's work. probably a good thing.
Harmison's ball landing in the hands of 2nd slip belongs on that list IMOHey how about one of those "commentators say the darndest things" checklist.
To kick things off with the Gabba Test in mind
[ ] Warne's success and love of the GABBA due to the extra bounce
[ ] Australia's undefeated record there
[ ] Kevin Mitchell Jnr getting mentioned a helluva lot of times.
[ ] Nasser's decision to bowl first.
[ ] Siddle's hattrick (please, please, please)
How bad would that have been if you'd been forced to listen to it on radio?Harmison's ball landing in the hands of 2nd slip belongs on that list IMO

Haha so true, picturing whoever that 2nd slip was () taking a blinder. How bad would that have been if you'd been forced to listen to it on radio?
"Here comes Harmison to bowl, and it's gone straight to 2nd slip" - you'd be dancing round your living room at the news before the reality of what had just happened properly dawned on you.
