I don't think Kippax has misrepresented anyone with his videos. Devcich doesn't have a great technique, Anderson does enjoy a flirt outside off to the pacers and Carl Cachopa did have a habit of getting hit. I'd argue it's better to get that in the open at Shield or A level, rather than in an international game.
When you have Jamie Siddons claiming Gillespie is sending down thunderbolts and Grant Bradburn recommending players based on their pink shirts, it's important to have a watchdog posting easily accessible footage so the fans aren't sucked in. No one can be bothered working out the vault: I don't even know how to get into it in the first place from the main page, I just follow the instructions Kippax posted. The best most people get to see are the boundaries and the wickets, and they don't tell you anywhere near as much as a Kippax video. AFAIC the guy should be getting commended for services to domestic cricket, but the cynic in me believes NZC don't like being shown up and would much rather domestic cricket was kept as obscure as possible so no one can call NZC and the domestic associations on their crap. The Ministry of Truth states Devcich is amazing against spin, and anyone who can prove it wrong gets taken out. Just like Taylor was offered the split captaincy from the beginning, and everything possible was done for Shane Bond when he went to the ICL.
And above all else, it's great having someone posting highlights of the cricket we always hear a lot about but rarely get to see with our own eyes. Kippax has singlehandedly caused the marked increase of informed discussion in domestic threads since starting his channel, and because we can actually see the players in action rather than just follow the radio or a scorecard it gives us so much more to talk about, and even get excited about. NZC should be loving his Milne videos.
